The Company

Who we are

Since 1980 we develop engineering, construction and industrial services activities. We also provide services related to the forestry sector, urban hygiene and waste management activities, and operation and maintenance activities in Uruguay.

In 40 years of presence in Uruguay we have accompanied the country in its change processes, participating in the most important infrastructure works.

Teyma is a benchmark in construction, being a key player in the execution of large investment projects, both public and private, with solid experience executing EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contracts.

It has more than 500 executed projects, which include some 550.000 m² built, more than 100 hydraulic works, numerous industrial projects and 70 electrical projects, being the main developer of private wind farms in the country.

At Teyma, people's safety comes first.
For this we have an occupational health and safety system, in accordance with the UNIT-ISO 45000, covering all our activities. These years of continuous improvement are seen in our accident rates which are the reflection of our actions:

Planning and control of activities integrating prevention with production.
Preventive security management based on the registration and evaluation of acts and unsafe conditions.
Setting demanding targets in incidents, accidents, operational control, based on high standards.
Strong team of prevention technicians, recognized by clients and competitors for their technical capacity and experience in a variety of activities.

6-time winner of National Quality Award. (2015, 2012, 2009, 2006, 2003, 2000).
3-time winner of Ibero-American Quality Award (2014, 2012, 2009).
First company to attain the Track Record Excellence Award in the frame of Ibero-American Quality Award.
Quality Certification: UNIT-ISO 9001 since 1996.
Environmental Certification: UNIT-ISO 14001 since 2001.
Occupational Safety and Health Certification: UNIT-OHSAS 18001 since 2002, migrating to UNIT-ISO 45000 in 2021.

Through many Corporate Social Responsibility activities, the company promotes its values and principles, as the environment care and workers care and protection.

We stimulate participation of workers and their families; support and contribute to the development of communities wherein we carry out our activities.

To achieve the foregoing, we draft an Annual Plan a Corporate Social Responsibility Committee to guarantee the compliance with the relevant policies.
